Claude Opus 5.5 Released: Faster, Cheaper, Longer Limits

Released Claude Opus 5.5, already available in the app. Along with this… they provided a banked reset (as OpenAI does — can be applied at any moment).

— For Opus 5.5 to work it requires fewer computational resources than Opus 5, and this is reflected in its price: $4/$20 (20 % less than before), and cache reads $0.2 — 60 % less.
— At the same time, generation speed increased on average by 30 %.
— The 5‑hour limit has been increased (weekly limits unchanged).
— “Opus 5.5 communicates more naturally than previous models. Early testers noted that its text became clearer and easier to perceive” — we will gladly verify that.
— Claude Sonnet 5.5 and Claude Haiku 5.5 will be released soon, in the coming weeks.
— In cybersecurity and biology the same strict filters as in Fable 5.1 will be applied.
