Grok 4.6 Released: Matches GPT-5.6, Costs Half as Much

Grok 4.6 has already been released.

The model has become noticeably stronger than Grok 4.5, while the price remains the same. According to xAI's own tests, Grok 4.6 has matched GPT-5.6 Sol in the AA Intelligence Index — both scoring 61 points, and even surpassed it in CursorBench, FrontierCode, and AA-Briefcase.

It costs roughly half as much as other cutting-edge models — $2 per million input tokens and $6 per million output tokens.

The model is already available in Grok Build, Cursor, Grok Bot, and via the API. Additionally, during the first week, Cursor and Grok Build users are given doubled limits.
