Claude Sonnet 5 Released: New Default Model, Lower Prices and Limits

Sonnet 5 has been released — a new default model for Free and Pro ($20), but available to everyone.

In terms of quality, it’s close to Opus 4.8, but significantly cheaper: until the end of summer the price will be $2/$10, after which it will be raised to $3/$15.

And... in honor of the release they lowered the limits, so run off to play around
