Cursor SDK is now in public beta. Build AI agents on Cursor’s runtime and models, run locally or in Cursor cloud, and use open-source starters.
The SDK for Cursor is already here
Now you can build agents on the same runtime, orchestrator, and models used in Cursor, and manage them via a TypeScript API.
The Cursor desktop app, CLI, and web app are supported. You can run it locally or in the Cursor cloud on a dedicated virtual machine, with any frontier models.
The Cursor SDK is available in a public beta for all users.
They also several starter projects as open source: a coding agent as a command-line interface, a prototyping tool, and a kanban board with agent logic.
