Anthropic Export Restrictions Lifted: Fable 5 Access Restored

Export restrictions have been lifted from Anthropic. After constructive negotiations with the U.S. government, access to Fable 5 will begin to be restored as early as tomorrow.

New classifiers have been added to it, aimed at blocking cybersecurity-related tasks. At first, part of the routine operations—such as code writing and debugging—will be automatically delegated to the Opus 4.8 model.

In parallel, Anthropic, together with Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and other Glasswing partners, has begun developing a consensus framework for assessing the severity of AI jailbreaks and a developer response protocol.

In addition, the company is expanding cooperation with the U.S. government in the area of model testing and safety measures.
