Claude Fable 5: Pricing, Vision Upgrade, Data Retention, Claude Code Access

1) Fable 5 and Mythos 5 are the same model, but the latter has slightly fewer safeguards around it. You won’t be allowed to “try out” the second one, so assume that Fable 5 is what’s available.
2) price — $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens — twice as expensive as Opus
3) besides the obvious, they’ve significantly upgraded vision — the model can beat Pokemon Fire without various hacks for parsing game information, using only the image.
4) now all requests to Fable are stored for 30 days so they can be analyzed in the background and they can ban those who want to jailbreak the models, distill them, etc. They won’t train on this data

And most importantly — until June 22 the model is available in Claude Code under the $20, $100, and $200 subscriptions (and for enterprise), and after that it will be available only at API pricing for everyone. But they promise that if there’s enough capacity, they might change their mind and bring it back to the subscription.
