Anthropic Removes Claude Code Usage Limits After Opus 4.8 Bug Fix

Anthropic removed the 5-hour and weekly usage limits for all Pro and Max plan users.

The company fixed an issue where some Claude Code sessions were creating too many parallel sub-agents, which led to limits being used up faster.

The bug was related to handling requests to Opus 4.8. As a result, the model was launching more parallel tool calls than intended.

Anthropic separately clarified that the issue was not related to Dynamic Workflows.

If over the past few days your limits in Claude Code were unexpectedly running out quickly, this could have been the reason.
