Cursor 3 Adds /multitask, Worktrees, and Multi-Root Workspaces

In the new Cursor 3 interface, /multitask has appeared.

Now Cursor can launch asynchronous sub-agents to parallelize requests instead of putting them in a queue.

For messages that are already in the queue, you can enable multitasking and not wait for the current run to finish.

Another way to parallelize work is the updated worktrees in the agents window.

You can run isolated tasks in the background on different branches.

When you need to test changes, any branch can be brought into the local foreground with one click.

They also added support for multi-root workspaces to make changes across several repositories at once.

A single agent session can now work with a reusable workspace assembled from multiple folders.
