OpenAI Launches GPT‑6.1 Sol Ultrafast: 8× Speed, Higher Cost, API & Pro
OpenAI's new GPT‑6.1 Sol Ultrafast offers up to 8× faster responses and instant model control. It's pricier than Astra and requires a Pro 500 plan for Codex and Work.
OpenAI brought GPT-6.1 Sol Ultrafast. The team is gradually rolling it out in API, Codex and ChatGPT Work. Speed — up to 8 times higher than the regular Sol.
But it is more expensive than the regular Astra. Although for this speed the price still seems justified.
Through the API anyone can use it, and in Codex and Work a Pro 500 plan will be required.
They also made model control instantaneous, meaning it now responds much faster to your clarifications. You can adjust the direction of work in real time so the model doesn’t waste effort. (example in 1 video)
