Cursor 3 Launch: Agent-Oriented IDE with Local, SSH, and Cloud Agents

Released Cursor 3

Now it’s no longer just an editor with AI, but a full-fledged agent-oriented environment. In the new Cursor, you can run as many agents as you want, anywhere: locally, in a worktree, over remote SSH, and in the cloud.

The new interface has been moved into a separate window and works as a layer on top of the IDE.

At the same time, the familiar IDE mode hasn’t gone anywhere — the VS Code base has stayed in place, and if you want, you can return to a more classic workflow at any time.
